The West Side Oral Narrative Project (WSONP) co-founded by Mary Ann Cardillo Fitzgerald and Leona Casey Signor in 1998 is a special collection highlighting the lives of people and the past of Saratoga Springs. The collection is a series of interviews accompanied by ephemera of those who made the West Side community as extraordinary as it was and preserves their experiences and way of life.
Andie C. Doscher has worked on the WSONP in classes at Skidmore College with anthropology professor, Michael C. Ennis-McMillan, transcribing and linguistically analyzing colloquial speak and shared memories of West Siders including the Italian, Black, and Irish communities. She has researched and curated the first sixteen people's displays in the exhibit during an archival internship in the summer of 2025. Andie has also transcribed the interviews of Cecelia Monaco, Dominic Cardillo Sr., and Anna Cardillo, and Jennie Lambert.
