Description
These early images depict the Crescent Hotel. The four story building stands out from the trees growing along its periphery. A man is standing between two curved staircases, each leading to a full sized porch, one along the front of the building and one along the side.
The Crescent Hotel was erected in 1864 on the corner of Congress and Broadway, across from Congress Park. By 1872, ownership and its name had changed.
