Description
Mable Anthony, better known as Biddie, was interviewed by Courtney Reid in 1999. She recalls her experience arriving in Saratoga Springs from Pittsburgh at 23 years old, and discusses how Saratoga has changed. Biddie remembers her daily life, including playing pinochle, working as a "traveling barmaid" and with mimeograph, describing the many people she met throughout her life, including sporting girls. She discusses her memory of food, her parents' history, and urban renewal.
